Mrs. Victoria Humphries died Friday morning, December 21st at her home two and a half miles from Union.
Mrs. Humphries was the wife of Mr. C. A. (sic) Humphries, and was seventy-one years old.
On Saturday afternoon the funeral services were held at Sardis Church and were conducted by her pastor Rev. J. B. Chich.
Mrs. Humphries is survived by her husband and twin sister, Mrs. Dora McDaniel and another sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Bolt of Union, three brothers Mr. J. Wiley Humphries of Sedelia, Mr. C. C. Humphries of Pacolet, and Mr. Calhoun Humphries of Monarch, and two sons Mr. Henry Humphries of Union and Smith M. Humphries of Newberry, and one daughter Mrs. Charles Lawson of Union.
Mrs. Humphries was a very earnest Christian woman and will be greatly missed by a wide circle of relatives and friends.
